Interstate 5 in Washington state is closed after heavy rains in the area triggered a mudslide. Governor Jay Inslee has called for a state of emergency.

High winds and rain have caused several deaths in Oregon as well. Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson speaks with Conrad Wilson of Oregon Public Broadcasting about the dangerous conditions in Oregon and Washington.
