It's been a tough time for department stores. Last week, Macy's said it would shut an additional 100 stores in 2017. But one section of the retail market is booming: resale, specifically luxury retail.

It's not just dusty thrift stores any more: luxury resalers across the country have opened boutiques and are selling their wares online, using social media to drum up business.

Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd speaks with Paula Sutter, a luxury resale expert.

Guest

Paula Sutter, operating partner at TSG Consumer and former president of Diane Von Furstenberg.

This segment aired on August 18, 2016.
