House Members Move To Revive Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Storage Plan

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved a bill Wednesday aimed at restarting a massive underground repository for nuclear waste, at Yucca Mountain, about 100 miles from Las Vegas. But local opposition to the long-stalled project remains as strong as ever.
