In Puerto Rico, moving from response to recovery after Hurricane Maria is dragging on, as water and electricity are still unavailable to many. And that makes it hard to get back to normal — not just for adults, but for children, too.

Jeff Cohen (@jeffcohenwnpr) of member station WNPR is visiting the island and has this report about a program designed to pick up when school lets out.

This segment aired on December 12, 2017.
