President Trump imposed tariffs on imports of washing machines, solar energy cells and solar panels this week.

Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson talks with Varun Sivaram (@vsiv), science and technology fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and author of the forthcoming book "Taming the Sun: Innovations to Harness Solar Energy and Power the Planet," about what the tariffs mean for the solar industry in the U.S.
