European Union Extends Brexit Deadline Into 2020

European Union diplomats have agreed to extend the United Kingdom's Brexit deadline to Jan. 31, 2020.

The decision comes Monday as British lawmakers vote on whether to hold an early election. Prime Minister Boris Johnson wants it to be held on Dec. 12.
