The Aurora Police Department in Colorado is under even more scrutiny after several officers held a Black woman and four children at gunpoint. The officers misidentified the woman's license plate as one that matched that of a stolen motorcycle.

In a video shared on social media, the children, one as young as six years old, are seen sitting on the ground of a parking lot, crying as the mother, Brittney Gilliam, her 12-year-old sister and 17-year-old niece are handcuffed and face down on the ground.

Host Tonya Mosley speaks with Elise Schmelzer, public safety reporter at The Denver Post.

This segment aired on August 5, 2020.
