COVID-19 Crisis Threatens Freedom Of The Press

An investigative journalist arrested and jailed nearly three weeks ago in Zimbabwe has been stopped from wearing a face mask and goggles as protection from the coronavirus, according to Human Rights Watch.

Hopewell Chin'ono's lawyers say he is being transferred to a maximum-security prison. The journalist has repeatedly been denied bail.

Jason Rezaian of the Washington Post, who was held in Iran, says no other modern event has done as much to destroy press freedom as COVID-19 has. Host Lisa Mullins speaks with him.
