Europe Swelters Under Heat Wave Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Europe is sweltering under a heat wave that is complicating efforts to tamp down coronavirus. Temperatures in the 90s sent people flocking to beaches as authorities cautioned against large gatherings.

A brawl broke out in Belgium when police asked people to leave a beach, and in France, new mask rules are being imposed to deal with the increasing numbers of people who are gathering outdoors.
