India Celebrates Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris

Indian Americans celebrated after Kamala Harris was declared vice president-elect. In her victory speech last Saturday, she paid tribute to her mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris, an Indian immigrant.

Harris will be the first Black and female vice president, but she's also the first Indian American and the first Asian American elected to the office.
