What a year it has been — and sports is no exception.

We saw a little bit of everything — from games cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreaks, to a summer Olympics essentially in a bubble and championship trophies hoisted across the bows of speedboats.

To look back at some of the biggest stories, host Peter O'Dowd is joined by Howard Bryant. He is with Meadowlark Media and is NPR Weekend Edition's sports correspondent.

This segment aired on December 27, 2021.
