Guilty: That was the verdict in this month's federal trial of El Shafee Elsheikh, an ISIS operative charged in the abduction, torture and deaths of hostages in Syria between 2012 and 2014.

Among those killed were American aid workers Kayla Mueller and Peter Kassig as well as journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley.

Foley's mother, Diane Foley, testified at the trial. She talks to host Celeste Headlee about the trial, her son, and the James Foley Legacy Foundation she founded to advocate for American hostages abroad.

This segment aired on April 26, 2022.
