A side effect of the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade has been a surge in people requesting vasectomy surgeries. The uptick — which has surprised many both inside and outside the urology community — is causing a backlog at many practices.

Dr. Doug Stein, known as the "Vasectomy King," tells Here & Now's Scott Tong what he is seeing at his Florida practice, and why this spike could be cause for both celebration and concern.

This segment aired on July 12, 2022.
