The devastating war between Israel and Hamas is the latest chapter in decades of turbulence in the region.

Here & Now's Deepa Fernandes speaks with Aaron David Miller about what the conflict means for the peace process. Miller is a former deputy special coordinator for Arab-Israeli negotiations at the State Department and a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, focusing on U.S. foreign policy.
