A plan to regulate short-term rentals on Maui gets pushback

Maui Mayor Richard Bissen is proposing phasing out 7,000 short-term rentals on the island. This comes as an affordable housing crisis continues there that’s been exacerbated by last summer’s wildfires. Critics of the plan are promising a legal fight.
