Secretary of State calls on Hamas to accept ceasefire

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is calling on Hamas to accept the ceasefire plan that the United Nations Security Council has now approved with the goal of ending the war in Gaza.

The U.S. sponsored the resolution. Hamas has said it broadly supports the plan but wants to be sure it will be carried out. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he supports it.
