Audiobooks for your train, plane or automobile ride this summer

Are you taking a long drive this summer? Packing for a flight and trying to save space in your carry-on? Just relaxing on the beach with a good story?
Up your summer reading with an audiobook, perfect for listening especially during your summer travels. Audiobooks are numerous, but “The Stacks” podcast creator Traci Thomas has some guidelines for finding one that suits you.
Thomas says she likes to listen to fiction audiobooks with robust plots and where the narrator reads conversationally. She also recommends nonfiction audiobooks read by the author.
“I feel like I'm getting some inside scoop about how they've written it,” Thomas says. “I'm hearing their emotional intonations as they're reading.”
