Car manufacturer earnings dip

We check in on the state of the auto industry after worse-than-expected earnings reports for some major car manufacturers — Ford, Stellantis and Nissan — in the second quarter of the year.

Automakers say that an extremely competitive domestic market and a slowdown in the sales of electric vehicles are to blame for slumping profits.
