Unpacking the 9/11 plea deal
We break down the plea deal between the U.S. and alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Mohammed along with his defendants have agreed to plead guilty to murder and conspiracy. In exchange for a guilty plea, the defendants will not be sentenced to death. It’s a significant development in a legal process that’s dragged on for years.
