Why Warner Bros. Discovery is writing down the value of its TV networks

Warner Bros. Discovery announced this week that it is writing down the value of its TV networks by $9.1 billion, amid a decline in its cable business. Warner Bros. Discovery is the parent company to CNN, TNT and HBO.
