With 2024 being a pivotal election year, many are concerned about the role misinformation plays in determining people's voting choices. One of the greatest concerns for newsrooms and other organizations is how to correct or counter misinformation.

However, the most obvious ways to deal with the issue are not necessarily the most effective.

Host Scott Tong speaks to Professor Nathan Walter of Northwestern University, who studies misinformation and how to correct it without making the lie easier to remember.

This segment aired on October 10, 2024.
