Conservative David Frum fears a Trump presidency, calls for civic education, grassroots organizing
David Frum — conservative political commentator, decades-long Republican and speechwriter for former President George W. Bush — has given up his membership to a Republican party he no longer feels represents his goals or values.
In an essay in The Atlantic, titled “Trump Won. Now What?” Frum not only expresses concern about the America to come but also issues a call to action: public civic education campaigns, grassroots organizing and fighting for the rule of law in court.
Host Robin Young talks to Frum about his vision of president-elect Trump’s America.
This segment aired on November 13, 2024.
