In the hours and days following the confirmation of President-elect Donald Trump's election victory, LGBTQ+ charity The Trevor Project saw a 700% spike in callers to its crisis hotline. The calls come as a reaction to concerns about the welfare of LGBTQ+ individuals under a second Trump Administration.

Host Scott Tong speaks to Orion Rummler from Here & Now's editorial partner The 19th, for more on what that spikes tells us and what other resources are out there for LGBTQ+ individuals to seek help.

This segment aired on November 14, 2024.
