Taking a look at Apple's new AI image tools

Apple's iOS 18.2 software, currently in beta, includes a suite of image generation tools powered by artificial intelligence. While its cartoon "genmoji" may be a bit "shallow and soulless," says Axios' Ina Fried, at least they can't be accused of blurring the lines between reality and deepfakes.

While AI tools are becoming more accessible to the general public, they're also making a splash in the art world. Earlier this month a painting by an AI-powered robot sold for $1,084,800 at auction.
