D.C.'s pay equity fund helps increase wages for child care workers

Three years ago, council members in Washington D.C. voted to increase taxes on D.C.'s wealthiest earners to raise child care workers' wages. So far, it has helped to stabilize and grow the supply of child care workers, helping working families as well as child care workers themselves.
