'The Strike' documentary tells of incarcerated peoples' protest against solitary confinement
In the summer of 2013, thousands of incarcerated people in California went on a hunger strike to protest indefinite solitary confinement in Pelican Bay State Prison. Now, the use of solitary confinement is limited.
That's the story told in a new documentary called "The Strike," and Here & Now's Deepa Fernandes talks with the film's directors, JoeBill Munoz and Lucas Guilkey.
