It was just over 5 years ago that then-9-year-old Ronan Mattin exclaimed "Wow!" at the Handel and Haydn Society's performance of Mozart's Funeral Music at Boston's City Hall.

While his grandfather Stephen Mattin was concerned that his grandson's shout had disrupted the concert, the reaction — from the audience, musicians and even Handel and Haydn's president — was pure love.

Among those who heard the 'wow' was poet Todd Boss who, earlier this year, published a children's book about that special performance.

Host Robin Young spoke to Boss, Mattin and Ron's father Al Mattin in May.

This segment aired on December 3, 2024.
