Jim O'Heir shares memories from 'Parks and Recreation' in new book 'Welcome to Pawnee'

For seven seasons, the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation” portrayed a cheery kind of optimism about local government that you’d be hard-pressed to find today.
Nearly a decade after it left the airwaves, fans still love the series' kooky characters, including Jerry Gergich, the department's easiest target.
Jim O'Heir played Jerry and he's out with a new book full of memories of his time on the show. It’s called “Welcome to Pawnee Stories of Friendship, Waffles, and Parks and Recreation”
He spoke with Here & Now’s Kalyani Saxena about the book at WBUR’s CitySpace last month.
