Jimmy Carter leaves behind a legacy of advancing progress for Black women
One of the largest parts of former President Jimmy Carter's legacy is his record of advancing progress for Black Americans. He appointed multiple Black women to key positions in his administration and pushed for years to give Black Americans better opportunities to vote, go to college or start a business.
