Is Meta going MAGA? Zuckerberg ends DEI, fact-checking programs

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said his company is ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs and disbanding its DEI team because "the term ... has become charged, in part because it is understood by some as a practice that suggests preferential treatment of some groups over others."

Last week, Meta also announced it will end its fact-checking program as part of a policy shift embracing "free expression" and bring more political content back to its platform Facebook.
