Trump suspends refugee program, stranding U.S. military allies in Afghanistan

Thousands of Afghans who helped the U.S. military are stranded after President Trump suspended the refugee admissions program.

An executive order issued this week left many feeling abandoned. Some spent months being vetted by the U.S. only to have their applications suspended and their flights canceled. Many fear retaliation by the Taliban.
