The state of U.S. foreign AIDS funding after pause then waiver
There's confusion after the Trump administration last week froze spending on PEPFAR, or the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Tuesday night, the State Department issued a waiver, to allow "life-saving humanitarian assistance" to continue, but there are questions about exactly what that covers.
