Marcher and historian reflect on Bloody Sunday

08:43

Sixty years ago Friday, hundreds of people tried to march from Selma to Montgomery for voting rights for Black Americans, but they were stopped by state troopers who bludgeoned marchers with clubs.

We hear from Charles Mauldin, who was 17 when he took part in the march, and Howard Robinson, associate professor of history at Alabama State University.

This segment aired on March 7, 2025.
