Call operators in North Carolina aim to soothe fears of ICE in communities
A community organization in Durham, North Carolina, has established a 24-hour set of operators who take calls from people afraid to go to certain areas because they believe they see U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
Most of the time, it isn’t ICE. The idea is to curb panic and help people live their lives.
