New Chinese AI agent wins acclaim and stokes fears

A Chinese company just announced another advance in artificial intelligence technology. Manus AI showed off an autonomous AI agent that could handle complex tasks independently.

Though some observers doubt Manus AI's results, the development indicates that China may be catching up to AI companies based in the U.S. Others fear that fully autonomous AI agents may not be safe or secure.
