Evangelical pastor explains how he's fighting back against Christian nationalism

The United States is a country uniquely blessed by God in the eyes of Christian nationalists. And many fear their country and their religion are under attack from migrants at the border and progressive enemies within.

Here & Now's Robin Young recently spoke with one evangelical leader who preaches a more different version of Christianity. Pastor Caleb Campbell of Desert Springs Bible Church in Phoenix, Arizona, rejects President Trump's politics. But he believes the vast majority of Christian nationalists have been duped by a minority of power-hungry grifters who seek to exploit their fears for personal gain. So, he's offering them a way back.

His 2024 book is called "Disarming Leviathan: Loving Your Christian nationalist neighbor."
