Sen. Cory Booker breaks record for longest Senate floor speech in protest against Trump's policies
Sen. Cory Booker, a Democrat from New Jersey, has broken the record for the longest speech on the Senate floor after retaining the floor for 25 hours and five minutes in protest of President Trump's policies.
The previous record was set by former Sen. Strom Thurmond, who 68 years ago spoke against the Civil Rights Act of 1957. We speak with NPR political correspondent Sue Davis about the historical moment.
