So you’re protesting against President Trump. Why does showing up matter?

Following the "Hands Off!" rallies held around the country to protest President Trump’s policies, organizers are planning more demonstrations this weekend to keep the momentum going.

Here & Now’s Lisa Mullins learns more about what makes resistance effective with Maria Stephan, co-lead and chief organizer with the Horizons Project. It’s a non-profit that supports pro-democracy research, training, and organizing in the U.S. She’s also co-author of the book “Why Civil Resistance Works: The Strategic Logic of Nonviolent Conflict.”
