Trump to end protections for Afghan and Cameroonian immigrants
The Department of Homeland Security announced the end of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Afghan and Cameroonian immigrants living in the United States. This move puts more than 10,000 people on track to be deported in May and June, when the current TPS designations for the countries are set to expire.
We speak with Krish O'Mara Vignarajah, president and CEO of Global Refuge, about the impact ending TPS will have on the thousands of immigrants who now face deportation.
