Service members with the National Civilian Community Corps were abruptly sent home this week as part of cuts to the federal government by the Department of Government Efficiency.

Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd talks with one National Civilian Community Corps service member about her work. Then, we hear from former NCCC director Kate Raftery about the impact of the program and about broader cuts to AmeriCorps.
