Trump's military interventions concern China despite lack of direct risk

The Trump administration’s National Defense Strategy includes a line saying the U.S. should dominate the Western Hemisphere.

The administration says one justification for attacking Venezuela and trying to take Greenland is to block China’s influence in the region.
