How food becomes a lifeline in Ukraine war

05:54

World Central Kitchen has served almost 300 million meals in Ukraine since the war started in 2022, often in active conflict zones.

Yuliya Stefanyuk helps lead that effort as the group's Ukrainian response director. She speaks with Here & Now's Scott Tong about what it takes to keep people fed when supply chains collapse, and how food can be both aid and resilience.

This segment aired on April 30, 2026.
