The pandemic has changed so many aspects of daily life. As the country begins to return to in-person gatherings and ease public health restrictions, how we approach social interactions may look and feel a whole lot different.

Exploring what the future may look like, WBUR CitySpace at the Lavine Broadcast Center presents “This Changes Everything,” a new monthly events series to help navigate what comes next.

From how we work, to how we gather, to how we teach — “This Changes Everything” will present conversations with leaders, thinkers and activists who are reshaping our world.

With support from Code42, the series will kick off with a special preview event, “This Changes Everything: The Office Edition” on Wednesday, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. ET.  As businesses here in Massachusetts adapt their operations to meet the post-pandemic moment, will it be a smooth transition? And if so, how do we get there?

Moderated by WBUR reporter Callum Borchers, the event will feature welcome remarks from Code42 CISO and CIO Jadee Hanson and panelists Hiawatha Bray, technology reporter for The Boston Globe; Meena Krenek, interior design director, Perkins&Will; and Tsedal Neeley, Naylor Fitzhugh professor of business administration, Harvard Business School. They’ll explore how companies plan to shift to flexible workspaces, re-think office design and balance the technology needed to support remote workforces.

“The last year, more than any other has challenged the business world to focus on resilience and adaptability. The way we work, collaborate, innovate and the way we secure that work will never be the same,” said Hanson of Code42. “We are proud to support this WBUR CitySpace event, which will showcase an important discussion around the ramifications of our new remote and hybrid world – and what companies can do to both adapt and thrive.”

The series will continue throughout the 2021-2022 season with conversations on how society will approach education, politics, cuisine, media, sports, health, wildlife, racial justice and more in the post-pandemic world.
