Divya Kumar is a South Asian-American psychotherapist with a public health background who specializes in perinatal mental health, trauma and the life transitions related to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The daughter of immigrants and the mother of two multiracial teens, she is particularly passionate about exploring how race, culture and proximity to immigration influence the journey into and through parenthood. Divya is a Co-Founder of the Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color and writes and speaks about the intersections of race, culture and perinatal mental health.
