Emily Rubin is a local author who writes fiction and non-fiction. Her work has been published in magazines, newspapers and anthologies, and she co-authored a book about a Holocaust survivor titled "As I Am Presently Known." Emily is on the faculty of the psychiatry department at UMass Medical School, where she conducts research on the impact of disability on siblings and families.
