Jean Letai is a proud mother of three, including two-time Olympian Julie Letai. She splits her time between New England and Washington DC, where her husband is Director of the National Cancer Institute. She is a past Board member of the Bay State Speedskating Club and a writer published in the Boston Globe, LA Times, Princeton Alumni Weekly and Friends and Anemones: Ocean Poems for Children.
