Karen Harris, Ed.D., is a long-time high school English teacher, writer and curriculum developer who most recently taught in Brookline High School's democratic School within a School, and at the Favorite Poem Project. Her research interests include the teaching of poetry, cultivating empathy through literature, and teenagers’ meaning-seeking. She lives in the Boston area.
