
In 1967, Kathrine Switzer became the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon. Since then, she has dedicated her life to empowering women through running, helping to get the women's marathon into the Olympics in 1984. She is the founder of 261 Fearless, a global nonprofit running network for women.
