Klaus Mladek is an associate professor of German studies and comparative literature at Dartmouth College and a Public Voices Fellow at The OpEd Project. His research focuses on 18th through 20th-century literature, philosophy, law and politics. His co-edited collection, "Sovereignty in Ruins: A Politics of Crisis," published by Duke University Press, came out last spring.
