Nell Lake is the author of "The Caregivers: A Support Group's Stories of Slow Loss, Courage, and Love," a work of narrative journalism about people caring for ill and aging family members. A Ph.D. candidate in American Studies at Brown, she's working on a book about the moral politics of care labor.
